To ensure accurate interpretation and high-quality reporting, all submitted imaging studies must meet the following standards:

Image Quality Requirements

• Free of Motion Artifacts – Patient movement during scan must be minimized for clarity.

• Proper Field of View (FOV) – Scan must fully capture the area of interest (e.g., full TMJ, implant sites, or impacted teeth).

• High Resolution & Correct Exposure – Adequate voxel size and contrast levels for diagnostic detail.

• No Metal Artifacts (when avoidable) – Remove removable appliances/jewelry before scanning to reduce beam hardening and scatter.

📦 File Submission Requirements

• Submit original DICOM files (not screenshots or PDFs), except for panoramic, lateral cephalometric and intraoral images.

• Include any relevant clinical notes, referral questions, or imaging requisitions.

• For MRIs: Include both open and closed mouth views for TMJ evaluations, if applicable.

• Note: Poor-quality scans may limit diagnostic confidence or delay reporting. We will notify the referring clinician if image quality is insufficient for interpretation.

To ensure timely and accurate radiologic reporting, please follow the guidelines below when uploading imaging studies to our portal:

Accepted File Formats

• DICOM (.dcm) format only, except for panoramic, lateral cephalometric and intraoral images.

   Please upload the entire DICOM folder or compress it into a .zip file before submission through WeTransfer website.
